Who are we?
Meet our Pastor...
PASTOR DAVID RANDLETT
Pastor Dave and his wife Shawne have been leading BCC's family of faith since 2012. Pastor Dave was born and raised in Boscawen and has come back to serve the church of his youth. An avid reader and historian, he helps us understand how God has worked here in the past and how to seek Him today through his sermons. Music is a very important part of their lives and they have enriched worship through our worship team. Pastor Dave and Shawne have two grown sons and reside in Laconia.
Boscawen Congregational Church is a member of the United Church of Christ and has been at the center of this community for over 280 years. We welcome you to seek the Lord's work in your life, no matter where you are in your faith journey.

OUR MISSION
Helping those in the surrounding community
Helping those in the surrounding community
FOOD AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES: Small but mighty. Located in the small building in the BCC parking lot, a dedicated group of volunteers provide thousands of meals annually to those in the greater community that need a helping hand. Providing food, transportation, and medical supplies. Open Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, or by appointment. Call Hilda's Food Pantry at 603-998-2853.
CHURCH PARK: Many in our community wonder how the Boscawen Congregational Church came to own a park. At one time this piece of land, along with the parsonage that sits just in front of the park across from the old library, was the ‘Gerrish Homestead’. This house and piece of land was bequeathed to the Church in 1835 from the Gerrish family and over the years, many ministers resided in the parsonage.
In 1914, Rev. Melvin Allen was living there, but unlike ministers before him, Rev. Allen wasn’t much of a farmer and the acres of pastureland were laying idle. Rev. Allen was fond of young folks and made plans to turn the idle acres of pasturage that belonged to the parsonage into a playground. This was the start off the evolution from a fenced in pasture to the ‘Community Park’. He helped lay out its first tennis court, and personally wielded an axe to free the grove from underbrush and make it a pleasant place for Old Home Day gatherings over the years.
Today the park, as part of the Church’s ministry, is offered free of charge, to the entire community, and is where the Merrimack Valley Youth Baseball and Softball League, the Boscawen Men’s Softball League and the Boscawen Church Co-ed Softball League play their games. The gazebo, picnic area and playground are used regularly by families from across our wider community. Boscawen’s High Street Coffee House holds summer concerts here and the Church holds Sunday service at the park several times each summer.
